Established in the rue dc Charenton. opposite the Convent of the English Sisters, Martin – Etienne Lhermite carried out many commis­sions for his fellow ebeniste Migeon, to whom he sup­plied among other pieces, desks ‘veneered in tulipwood with a "point de Hongrie” pattern’ and a bedside table en cabaret with floral marquetry. He ex­ecuted marquetry of a high standard with kingwood flowers in bois de bout on a tulipwood ground in ver – miculated pattern, which is close in style to certain marquetry works by В. V. R. B. or Dubois.
