PLANET: OOSFERA
The SEXY MAGRELA is a high-performance competition race ship on planet Oosfera. This Cosmic Motors vehicle is based on a former military ship, the ASTROCON Railton Bomber Drone Mk439.
This top view shows the layout of the Railton Cup winner, SEXY MAGRELA No. 1: a narrow nose with an aerodynamic, adjustable wing; the retired, plugged side guns; the former

In Galaxion year 9031 the Magrela ships played a sad role in the history of CoMo. When founder Fritz Redooa persuades co-founder and brother Osni for a fun ride in his daughters’ race ships, both men die in a dramatic crash caused by Osni’s inability to fly the ship he himself had constructed. They leave behind Cosmic Motors as a rising star in the vehicle business. Only Roketa and LaGata’s ambitions allow the successful story of

TYPE: LI6HT RAY GUN SHIP PLANET: /MUJOFA
The tragic planet Mujofa is the only place in the Galaxion system that has not found peace. With so many former warships turning into domestic or sporty vehicles in the rest of the galaxy. Mujofa is a sad reminder of the system’s past. The TAOOA Light-Ray Gunner, manufactured by CoMo’s competitor ASTROCON, is a heavyweight gunship that attacks ground targets.
It requires a crew of five members. The two 505mm guns use light rays as ammunition, giving them the power to cause catastrophic destruction. A single engine is placed between the two giant light ammunition generators. The crew sits safely in the heavily armored cockpit. Only the pilot and the navigator can see through the windshield. The two gunners sit behind them in the dark, staring at battlefield holograms. The fifth crew member is a survivor of the Taooa tribe. The only ones with the skill to operate the complex light-ray interface. It is a process that requires rare creativity and instincts. Inexplicably there are neither droids nor other living creatures able to compose light rays of that size and destructive power.
Two big guns and a cockpit—that’s all that a TAOOA gun – ship is made ot. To give the guns the maximum possible dominance. I decided to put the cockpit underneath in-

the pilots, as the ship mainly attacks ground targets. In terms of scale. I wanted the cabin to allow for standing

JADO FLEET
The DJADO fleet is an unarmed squadron of balloons and ground vehicles in the service of the princess of Panga-lpoh. Panga-lpoh is a vast desert planet with rather simple technology. Time moves slowly here. The voyage fleet of the princess crosses the deserts at low speed, but with all the available comforts. The core of the fleet is the INCISALIS ship, carrying the princess and her personal servants and handmaidens. For safety reasons, and to thwart pirate attacks, the main ship always has a companion sister-ship flying at its side. All of the fleet’s balloon ships are filled with several gases of different chemical specifications, which permit the designers of Cosmic Motors to go for very abstract and free-form shapes. The princess’s ship is followed by several servant ships, their numbers depending on the length of the voyage, over the vast desert-scapes of Panga-lpoh. Balloons and ground vehicles for provisions, mechanics, cooks, and security form an impressive caravan.
The DJADO project is the oldest project in this volume, and some of these sketches date back to Earth year
School, the German equivalent of the Art Center College of Design. What you see here are my first steps in the field of entertainment design. All the fun I had doing this project has finally culminated seven years later—in
The conditions are tough on this planet, where these vehicles operate in the princess of Panga-lpoh’s service. Heavy and long-lasting erosion has turned the once-green planet into a giant desert sphere. Luckily, the ocean planet Canoa-Quebrada is a direct neighbor, so filtered-
water resources can be shuttled down to Panga-lpoh. The
princess is a peaceful messenger who travels almost all the time. Cosmic Motors was contracted to design a corn-
maintenance, lodging, catering, and security. I decided to go for balloons for the main vehicles, fitting well the calm. Presumedly, there are various types of lifting gases available, so that the ships could be designed in random shapes. Other vehicles come as hybrids—a mixture of cars and lifting balloons—offering a nice diversity to the fleet as it passes trough the vast desert fields.

TYPE: STREET CRUISER 3IKE PLANET: TARRA I
The Cosmic Motors DETONATOR V8 6.0 is a magnum-sized street-cruiser bike, powered by a brutal six-liter V8 Cratomium engine. The bike comes without a visible frame. Instead, there is a simple block, carrying the core components like the drive train, suspension, and steering. The front suspension is a complex lever system; the steering is achieved by a plasmamagnetic sled, located directly behind the front wheel. The pilot controls that digital impulse with the two single-pivot handlebars.
The project took off as a purely sculptural experiment, featured at the annual party at Cosmic Motors’ headquarters. The sculpture attracted a lot of attention at the show, and CoMo’s development department came up with two running prototypes. Nos. 1 and 2. Before a limited edition of eight (to complete a series of ten) bikes was given the green light, several modifications were made: the suspension, the seating position, and the proportions were improved.
The DETONATOR project began with the idea of creating a sculpture of a bike, rather than inventing a fully functional motorcycle.
The sketch at bottom left became the key sketch, showing how a dynamic bike can be made from a simple, static volume. The full block, representing the main frame, generates the flair of brutality needed for such a huge, scary street monster. Graphically. TYPE: VOYAGE TRUCK PLANET: ТАЙВАНІ
The NEMBIQUARER Voyage Truck has its roots as an ASTROCON military concept truck, but the project was abandoned once the long-lasting Tarra-Peace III treaty brought renewed hope to the planet. Years later, the NEMBIQUARER concept was brought back to life for a peaceful purpose. Cosmic Motors bought the blueprints from ASTROCON Inc. and developed from that base a fleet of super trucks. In the swamplands of Planet Tarra, these impressive machines serve as chartered commuter vehicles for the wealthiest of passengers.
Two additional NEMBIQUARER trucks were built in a sporty setup to compete in the Trans Terra Rally Competition.
When I started the NEMBIQUARER project, I < precise picture in mind. It took a few sketch pages to find a design direction. I didn’t know of a similar existing vehicle, and could find no reference out there. The first result you
