Stiffness of Closet Bars

Bars for hanging clothing, from the mechanical point of view, can be treated as freely supported beams and subjected to even load (in accordance with Table 7.1) (Fig. 7.21).

The maximum deflection of such a bar is described by the equation:

E linear elasticity module,

J moment of inertia of the cross section (see Table 7.4) and fdop 8 mm/m—acceptable deflection of the bar.
